Agemaspark have been shortlisted in the Digital Engineering / Technology and Manufacturing Apprenticeship/training scheme categories at the Insider Made in Yorkshire Awards 2022.
This prestigious event celebrates world-class companies based in Yorkshire and the Humber and the products they are making here and selling across the world. As the economy continues to recover from Covid-19, manufacturers in the region have shown remarkable resilience through innovation, skilled talent and diversification.
The Digital Engineering / Technology Award is for the company that has best used or developed software, technology or technical processes to solve problems or add value for customers. Entries are invited from engineering and manufacturing companies or software development businesses operating in the manufacturing sector.
Being shortlisted in this category recognises the investment Agemaspark have made in 3D metal printing technology and applying this to the manufacture of mould tools using conformal cooling principles to reduce cycle times by 20%, reduce energy consumption and reduce the water cooling required in some applications from 10’s of thousands of litres down to 20 to 50 litres required in 24 hours.
The Manufacturing Apprenticeship / Training Scheme Award is for the employer’s apprenticeship or other training schemes that the judges decide is the most beneficial. This award will recognise the manufacturing business that has done the most to further the cause of apprenticeships and general training and upskilling of its staff in the view of the judges.
10 of Agemaspark’s 15 employees have been through an apprenticeship with the company, and the business has invested in continuous training and development across the workforce. Two of the companies original apprentices have gone on to become the Workshop Managers working with the MD and Technical Manager as part of the Senior Management Team. Agemaspark is also a founding partner of the Doncaster utc, with Managing Director Paul Stockhill serving as their Vice Chair.
The black-tie awards ceremony will be held at the Hilton Leeds City on Thursday 17th March 2022.
